Tawa burger is an Indian street food where masala is prepared and then stuffed into the burger to make this yummy and mouth-watering Tawa Burger.
This is a to-go burger as it doesn’t require tikki to be made which is a bit of time-consuming task.
How to make Tawa Burger?
All veggies are cooked in oil and then spices added to the sabji. Later the masala(sabji) is placed in a burger and toasted well from both sides.
There are plethora of variations to this burger – scrambled eggs burger, paneer masala burger.
Adding of some cheese will enhance the flavor and make it cheesy.. 🙂

Ingredients
Making Masala
-5 tbsp of oil
-1 tbsp of cumin seeds
-1 medium-sized onion, chopped
-1 tsp of garlic paste
-1 tsp of ginger paste
-2 medium/1-large sized tomato, chopped
-2 mid-sized potato, boiled
-1 medium-sized capsicum, chopped
-1/2 tbsp of turmeric powder
-1 tbsp of red chili powder
-1/2 tbsp of cumin powder
-2 tbsp of pav bhaji masala
-Salt as per taste
-2 tbsp of coriander finely chopped
-10-15 drops of lemon juice
Making Burger
-6 burger pieces
-1/4 cup of cheese
-10 tbsp of butter for toasting burger
-1 tbsp of pav bhaji masala to sprinkle on pan
-2 tbsp of coriander leaves chopped
1.Heat a pan on medium flame.
2.Once the pan is hot, add oil to the pan.
3.Once the oil is hot enough, add cumin seeds to the pan.
4. After cumin seeds crackles, add onion to the pan and mix.
5. Add ginger paste and garlic paste. Saute till onion turns translucent and the raw smell of ginger and garlic goes off.
6.Add tomatoes to the pan.
7.Now add chopped capsicum and boiled potatoes to the pan and mix everything well.
8.Add turmeric powder, red chilly powder, pav bhaji masala, cumin powder,salt to the sabji and mix everything well. Let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
9.Add some chopped coriander leaves. Keep the sabji aside and let it cool.
10. Heat a skillet. Meanwhile, cut the burger half, place the masala in it, spread some cheese.
11.Once hot, apply butter to the pan, sprinkle some pav bhaji masala and some chopped coriander.
12.Place the burger in this mixture and toast it from both the sides. While flipping the burger, you can repeat the procedure of applying butter and sprinkling coriander and pav bhaji masala so that it gets toasted in this masala from both sides and tastes amazing.
Repeat the procedure to make more burgers.
Tips
1.Use butter generously while making burger as that will enhance the taste of burger.
2.You can choose veggies of your choice for making the masala stuffing like cauliflower, carrot, cabbage, peas.
3.You can add garam masala and a bit of chaat masala to the sabji.
