How to make Murmura Chivda?
You need to heat oil in a pan. Once the oil is hot enough, add peanuts, curry leaves, garlic, chilies to the oil.
Now goes pinch of turmeric powder, puffed rice/murmura, salt and coriander leaves. Mix them well.
Let the chivda get roasted for a couple of minutes on medium-low flame. That’s it.

Ingredients
-3 cup of murmura/puffed rice ( 1cup = 250 ml)
-3 tbsp of oil
-2 tbsp of peanuts
-7 to 9 curry leaves
-1 tbsp of garlic, minced
-4 green chilies, chopped
-2 tbsp of coriander leaves, chopped
-1/4 tsp of salt or as per taste
-1/4 tsp of turmeric powder
-Pinch of asafoetida
Step 1: Heat a pan. Once hot, add oil to the pan. Use a heavy base metal pan so that puffed rice do not get burnt.
Step 2: Add peanuts, curry leaves, garlic and green chilies to the pan and let it sauté for a minute.
Step 3: Add turmeric powder and asafoetida.
Step 4: Add murmura, salt and chopped coriander to make murmura chivda. Let it cook on medium low flame for about 5 minutes.
Your murmura chivda is ready. You can serve it with finely chopped onions over the chivda.
Tips
1.You can add red chilly powder to the chivda if you like spicy or you may increase the amount of green chilies.
2.You can add dry red chilies to the chivda if you wish.
3.Make sure you use fresh puffed rice and not stale or soft one as they will not give desired result.
