How to make Masala Pyaaz?
Just peel onion and chop it in circular rings. Add spices to it and salt. And it’s ready to be served.
The pungentness of the onion is toned down by soaking them into water for sometime. Also, adjust the spiciness as per your choice.

Ingredients
-1 large/2 medium sized onion, sliced in circular rings
-2 tbsp of red chilly powder
-1 tbsp of cumin powder
-Salt as per taste
-2 tbsp of lemon juice
-1/2 tbsp of black pepper powder (optional)
-1/2 tbsp of chaat masala(optional)
-1/2 tbsp of coriander leaves, finely chopped
1. Peel the onion. I get onion of this size here. (Haha!)
2. Slice the onion thinly in circular rings.
3.Separate the onion rings.
4.Soak onion rings in water for 12 minutes.
5.After 12 minutes, drain the water. If onion rings are still a little wet then dry them using paper towel and transfer to mixing bowl.
6.Add red chilly powder, cumin powder, salt to the bowl.
7.Squeeze lemon.
8.Mix with hands such that onion rings get coated well with masala. Garnish with chopped coriander.
Your Masala Pyaaz are ready to be served.
Tips
1.Adjust spiciness as per your taste.
2.You can add mint leaves as well to the masala pyaaz.
3.Make sure you soak onion in water as it will reduce strong taste of the onion.
