Kachumber Salad – a refreshing and simple Indian salad that can be put together in no time. It is a side dish that goes with almost all Indian dishes.
This salad needs fresh veggies that are spiced up with chaat masala and salt with a bit of lemon juice.
All you need is a knife, veggies and a chopping board. Chaat Masala and salt are always available in any Indian household.
This easy-to-make kachumber salad recipe gives refreshing feel when served with spicy food, roti-sabji, rice. Apart from this, you can even make this kachumber at any other time when you experience hunger pangs.
I make this kachumber salad mostly at lunch and I prefer making this salad over pickles considering the nutritious aspect. Also, this salad falls under no cooking/no-fire category.
Its very important in today’s time to add raw veggies to our diet and that’s where salad can help.

Serving: 2 people
-1 small onion, chopped
-1 medium tomato, chopped
-2 small cucumber, chopped
-1/2 tsp of chaat masala
-1/2 tsp of salt
-1 tbsp of lemon juice
-2 tbsp of coriander, chopped
-1/2 tsp of black pepper powder (Optional)
1.Peel the onion and cucumber and chop into even small pieces. After this, chop tomatoes. Place all these veggies in a mixing bowl.
2.Add lemon juice, chaat masala and salt. Toss everything well using a spoon. Sprinkle some finely chopped coriander.
Serve it immediately.
1.You can add green chilies if you like spicy salad.
2.You can even add black pepper powder to the salad.
3.Choose veggies of you choice including carrots, radish, pomegranate kernels.
4.Chop all veggies in equal size so that the texture of salad looks good.
